In full
Nile’s End is a single-player survival game for Android, set in Egypt in 1985, three weeks after a nuclear war. Cross a real map of Egypt, from the Delta to Aswan, the oases, Sinai and the Red Sea mountains, on foot, by bicycle or in a patched-up Nasr 128. Scavenge the dead towns, find clean water, treat your wounds and stay out of the fallout, to bring your family back together over 10 chapters. It is free, has no ads, plays fully offline, and comes in Egyptian Arabic and English.
The game in numbers
- 156 towns by name on a real map of Egypt, with the governorates as they were in 1985, the Nile and the Delta branches.
- 10 story chapters, from Upper Egypt to the Red Sea and the mountains of Sinai.
- 39 road events with choices, and 10 wounds and illnesses, each with stages and a treatment.
- 155 items and 67 crafting recipes, and 60 things that can be taken apart for parts, with repair kits for clothes, shoes, blades, guns and vehicles.
- Five ways to travel: on foot, by bicycle, with a hand cart, on a Jawa motorcycle, or in a Nasr 128 restored from a wreck.

The story begins in the cane fields of Nag Hammadi.
A real map of Egypt: the Nile, Luxor, the temples, and the way there.
Search houses, the souq and the pharmacy, and find a hidden stash.
Events on the road, and every choice has a price.
Jackals, hyenas, raiders and cobras: fight, close in, or run.
The Delta and Cairo after the strikes: burning cities and fallout.
Build a camp: a fire, a mudbrick hut, a bed and a workbench.
The pack, in pictures: take things apart for their parts, or mend them.
Make your own tools from scrap, wood and rope, and clothes and weapons from what you gather.
A car’s parts wear on their own: tyres, brakes, oil, battery and plugs.
The radio tells you what the world is up to: khamsin, floods, raids and fresh fallout.
When you die, your story is a card you can share with friends.
